OHMIGOD... you saw Nick at Sam Goody! How f*****g cool! What was he wearing? Did you get pix or was Frank being an ass (again!). When I saw them at the hotel in Raleigh, Nick disappeared into a room off the lobby and I wanted to follow him but Frank wouldn't let me. It was a *public* area for godsakes!
Anyway... I think he was with some girl. LOL! To be a fly on that wall...
Hmm... wonder what Nicky is listening to these days... off to scout CD Now for 's' bands..

he was wearing that horrible orange shirt! pix at my site (see sig) frank was fine. he was saying something to nick as he was looking through the cds, i couldn't hear what, but it really pissed nick off, you could tell. i think that frank loves to torment nick.
have you ever talked to frank? he'll call you 'ma'am', mark my words. he's from texas, i think. i wonder if nick *was* with a girl in raleigh? did you see her? he needs a new girlfriend, someone needs to take that boy's wardrobe in hand!
is it late enough for nashville reports yet? have we figured out if they're spending the day off in pittsburgh or nashville?

No one's posted about Nashville yet - COME ON PEEPS!!!!!! Bet it was great. Lexington was a riot - Brian was so glad to be home. I got a picture of Leighanne (no comment!) and Kristin was there for the big ole anniversary. She is such a doll! (See I can be nice to the wives!)
If I were them, I'd spend the day off in Pittsbugh, not Nashville. Hmm... wonder if they flew or drove the bus.
I spend way too much time thinking about this stuff! LOL!

yeah, perfectfan, I agree. Frank is a doll. He's just paid to protect little Nicky, you know. Have you ever heard what Frank calls Nick? 'Little Man"! That cracks my s*** up! Can't imagine that Nick likes that. Everyone always telling him he's little. He gets no respect! ;-)
I was in Nashville *swoon*. Saw Nick in the hotel before he left. They left way early the next morning and he was so not in the mood to talk or sign autographs, just let Frank pull him onto the bus. ;-( Alot of girls were pissed. But then AJ came down and said that Nick just didn't sleep the night before - he's partying too much, I think!!!
I did see Nick had a handful of CDs - wonder if they were the ones from Sam Goody???? Ever wonder what that boy does with all the cds we see him buy on the road? Does he ship them back home or have boxes and boxes of them in the bus.

lol 'ncontrol... i think he has boxes of them on the bus- we followed them to the airport in dc, and nick and frank went in, then frank came back out, leaned into the van, and came out with a cd, which he took back into the airport with the funniest expression on his face. we were all cracking up. i think that nick threw a fit and made frank go back and get his precious cd.
i wonder if nicky really wanted the cd, or if he was just f***ing around with frank?

i bet the cd nick made frank get for him was sudden silence- and i bet sudden silence is what nick was looking for in indy, too. at the wango tango press conference, someone asked him what's in his cd player now, and he just went on and on about them.
i have all two of their cds, and they're really awesome. but they do not seem like something nick would listen to, it’s total chick rock.

hello, people, the internet is a good thing. type in 'sudden silence' sometime and see what you come up with. they're on tour with rufus wainwright, and they played raleigh the same night our boys did. did nick see them? were they at the same hotel? does nick make a habit of searching out interesting chick rock bands? why do i doubt that last one?
sudden silence is playing pittsburgh tonight, and the boys are in the house. who in pittsburgh is willing to spend 20 bucks to check out the VIP section at the rufus wainwright show?

You are SO not going to believe this one... on Nickynick's suggestion, I checked out the Rufus Wainwright gig but no BSB spotting. They band was pretty good, though. Nothing all that spectacular, but the chick singer - Rochelle or something? - was good. She's kinda pretty, too. Not in a Willa/Tiffany kind a way, though, it's hard to describe. Go to www.emiamerica.com/suddensilence/ and there are a few pictures, but not of her... sorry. Em Evesham did them. I love her work... she does all the good bands. Did BSB's Rolling Stone pictures - the ones where they dropped their pants! LOL!
ANYWAY, no Nick so my friend Janet and I were bumming, but then we ran into the band's drummer, Darien (and he is HOT, I tell you!) coming out of the venue (didn't stay for Rufus, sorry if anyone here likes him, but I don't) and start talking to him. He tells us they have to go because they've got a spot at ANOTHER club in town for that evening - like 11:30. So glad I'm an older fan, let me tell you! For once this paid off!
So Janet and I decide what the hell... it's a 'school night' but let's go and see if anyone turns up. It's only $5 to get in, too, which is such a bargain for a Nick sighting! ;-)
Anyway... we were about to give up hope when I saw Frank at the bar. NICK AND BRIAN WERE THERE!!!!
And Nick looked so hot, let me tell you - his trademark cargo pants and a black t-shirt without any sleeves. Showed off those lovely tattoos of his! ;-) He had a Laker's ballcap on and kept pulling it down over his forehead like that would make us not see the rays of light emanating from the man's head! LOL!
And Brian... sorry, Brian was Brian. Whitebread. Kinda boring. Sorry, I only had eyes for Nick. I do know that Frank handed him a bottle of Coors Light, though! ;-) Don't know what Nick was drinking but Frank kept going to the bar at the back of the VIP section.
ANYWAY... they got there right as the band was taking the stage and it was so funny. Frank obviously wanted Nick to follow him up to the VIP section (it was in the balcony and don't you think I tried to get up there... I did, but it was no good!) but Nick wasn't being a good boy. He watched most of the first song from the back of the floor and then Frank had to come and get him. It was too cute! Nick had this annoyed look on his face, like, don't f***in' touch me! ;-)
I couldn't tell you much about the band, sorry. I only had eyes for Nick up in the balcony. He and Brian were so into the music and Nick was getting mighty drunk, singing along and screaming.
Let me tell you that after seeing him these last few months with Willa and then with Tiffany... it looks so good to see that boy happy! Maybe he's sworn off women for a while, you know? This chick is so not his type. AJ maybe, but not our Nick. She’s a total rock babe!
I so couldn't believe it. I tried to act cool and all, but was just giddy the whole time. Luckily I had brought the disposable camera with me, just in case our stalking adventure paid off.. but I only got one picture and it's kinda dark. Once the show ended, Frank must have seen me eyeing Nick and he hurried them out of the club through a side door. We tried to follow them back to the hotel but were too late and they'd already gone up by the time we go there.
Anyone see them in the hotel?

dudes! totally, dudes, i just went to look at the sudden silence pictures (there are some of her on a fan site, I'll find the URL and post it later), and I agree ‘thorisgod’ she's not nick's, she's aj's. i saw them in raleigh, they left the hotel together. remember? i know i posted about the woman that aj kissed before he got on the bus. she was carrying a guitar and she had dark curly hair, totally cute. they were talking as he walked out of the hotel, and he signed like two autographs, still talking to her, then he stood on the step of the bus and they kept talking, then this van pulled up, and someone leaned out and yelled 'stop talking to your boyfriend and get on the road, rachel!' and aj kissed her cheek and she laughed and got in the van.

on the emi site it says she is 26 (born in 1975). there's a bio of each of the members and one of the guys is totally hot. not in a kevin kinda way - 'cause that's just not possible! - but really cute. i think he's jeremy. dunno. no time in my life for new obsessions!
they've got a couple albums out, too. the mp3s on the site are pretty good. but i agree, she's definitely aj's type and wasn't he just comparing sarah to amanda the other day....? sounds like a rebound thing to me. i'm putting money on the fact that we don't see sarah for a while.

But the most interesting thing was right before they went on, RACHEL appears in front - sitting in the pit next to Kristin. They are talking like they're best friends and she's wearing a laminate pass and all. Damn! That girl's lucky. I was doing a little snooping at work today and found this tidbit on the internet: she's ex-gf of the lead singer from Blur (you know that British band with the lame 'woo-hoo' song!).
Willa/Amanda track record anyone?
She seemed cute enough, I guess. I'm agreeing, totally AJ’s type. She was wearing these tight leather pants and a t-shirt with Sid Vicious on the front (I think it was him, one of those punk people - might have been Green Day, dunno! LOL!).
I think I might have got pictures of her. I was trying for Kristin, but they were sitting together. I'll post more later. Must sleep now.

I was watching her, too, nickchick. Where were you sitting? I was on Nick's side, 5 rows from the stage. OMG they were good seats. I'm so loving me some Nick right now!
I was catching alot of flirting with BOTH Nick and AJ, though. Nick practically sang all of GAB to her. LOL! Think he was trying to piss AJ off?
She left before the end of the show, though. When AJ came up for The Call, he was totally looking for her but she was gone. He looked kind of upset. I might be projecting, though.

We played our bets and as soon as BSB left the stage, we flew over to where Sudden Silence was playing, figuring there might be an after show of sorts there.
No dice. I guess AJ saw her at their show? We weren’t near enough to see Rachel in the pit, but I know she was there, because they got onstage- and she was wearing that outfit you described, CarterFan- sid vicious shirt and leather pants- she grinned out at everyone said ‘if you know this one, you’ve got no indie f***ing cred’
And they did a punk rock version of ‘Get Another Boyfriend’!!!!
It was so totally cool. Rachel and Jeremy (the cute one) were trading lines, the drums were out of control, and you could tell they were all having so much fun. On the ‘stop’ part, they stopped everything; she took a deep breath, and totally nailed AJ’s note. Wonder when he taught her that?
Best part! We have it on tape!!!! OK, the tape totally has us screaming on it, but we taped the show. Janet works at the TV studio, she’s got the tape now and is trying to mix out the screams. It was a really good show- after about three songs, we figured no Boys would be there, so we paid attention and they’re a totally fun band. I can see why AJ likes her, she’s all over attitude, a total rock star.

HARTFORD ROCKS!
I am the coolest girl ever! Janet and I decided, since the Sudden Silence CD turned out so good, that AJ needed it. Pittsburgh to Hartford is only, oh, 12 hours. So we called in sick and off we went.
We went straight to their hotel, of course. Totally tanked up on caffeine and listening to BSB for 12 hours.
Our timing could not have been better. Five minutes after we joined the throngs outside the hotel, AJ and Nick and Frank walked up. Dunno where they were. Someone said shopping.
And they STOPPED! This was so meant to be. We wiggled our way up as they were signing things, and Janet handed AJ the CD. He tried to sign it, then realized it wasn’t BSB and looked up at her.
This is where she tells me that she lost her mind. Because Alex James f***ing McClain was looking right at her. “What’s this?” he asked.
“Its your friend’s band. Sudden Silence?” she managed to say, and Nick’s little blond head just whipped around.
I so want to know what’s going on there. Nick seems really interested in AJ’s girl…
AJ took the CD, looking really interested. “My friend, huh? How do you know Sudden Silence?”
Janet couldn’t talk any more, so I stepped up. I don’t know how I managed to say anything, because Nick was staring at me. “We have our ways. They did ‘Get Another Boyfriend’ the other night in Pittsburgh, and we taped the show.”
And AJ and Nick exchanged the funniest look. Like they were completely and totally shocked. Guess she hadn’t told AJ. Nick reached for the CD and AJ pulled it out of his way, moving closer to Janet. “Thanks. Really, this is awesome. What do you want me to sign?”
He signed her TV Guide cover with a big “Janet, you rock” and then Frank made them go inside.
