I just had lunch with them and they gave me all the details. Nick, Kevin and Howie were definitely there, there were right at the edge of the VIP balcony. They said the show was completely awesome, the band was in a great mood and were silly and fun and totally on.
Our Boys were at the after show, too, but my friends didn't see Nick and Rachel together. It was evidently a madhouse, and my friends left early, so they probably just missed it.

Anyway, here's the story. My friends and I thought he might be here with the band, so we decide to scope out the Sudden Silence boards. Man, those kids are crazy! LOL! Seriously, they know like everything they're doing. Did you know a whole group of girls are following them on the entire tour? I kid you not, they like dropped out of school or something. It's insane. I'm sure people have done that for Backstreet before… but, at least that's BACKSTREET. LOL!
Anyway, so someone on their board said that the band likes this one hotel (not tellin' till after they leave, sorry. Email me privately and I might give you a couple hints, though), so we head off this afternoon. We hang around, go to this one restaurant where you can see everything really good (we're all under age, so we had to stay off the floor) and one of my friends thinks she sees their tour manager heading out to the pool area. We follow her and sure enough, there they are.
They took over like 2 little grass huts near the pool and they were there ALL DAY! I mean, ALL DAY! They had a masseuse (how do you spell that!??! Dude that does massages!!!) in one hut and I think the gay guy liked him because he went back into that hut like 12 times! *giggle*
We weren't staying at the hotel so we were sure they were gonna kick us out, but I think the cocktail waitress liked us. She kept giving us free cokes (she got a huge tip!) and at one point she leaned over to my friend and said, "look don't touch." Which we interpreted to mean that we could watch them but not be too obvious or go up to them or she'd kick us out.
Hey, that's all I needed to hear.
Basically we got to hang by the pool and watch them all (including Nicky in a BATHING SUIT!) horse around all day and just chill by the pool. Damn, y'all I wish I could have taken pictures…. Now I know you are all gonna hate me, but Nick and Rachel.

And the other guys interacted with Nick, sure. We couldn't really hear them. Jeremy was a little stand-offish, sure. But don't you think that's weird being in a band with your ex-girlfriend and having her new boyfriend around?

Subject: It gets BETTER!I love them. I love them, I love them, I love them. OK, I only know the single, but I'm buying their CD tomorrow just the minute the stores open. Sudden Silence is so totally nice!
So, my friend told me that they were at his music store tonight, and they were talking about going out to the casinos and even where they were going to have dinner. The place they went is in one of the casinos, so we hightailed it over there and hung out in the lobby. For two freaking hours! We were about to give up when all six of them came out- the band and Nick and their tour manager- I don't know her name, but she's really tall and blond.
I think they'd been drinking some, because they were all pretty giggly and funny. Rachel might have been the most sober, because she was making them all go to see the fountains at Bellagio, which isn't far from where they had dinner (no, I don't know what they ate)
I love the fountains, because I don't have to be 21 to see them! They do a little show every 15 minutes, and damn if the band didn't stand there for six shows. Yes, that's an hour and a half. They'd move between each show to get a better view, until they were finally right in the middle with the best view. We were right near them, but all six of them can talk, so we could barely understand what they were saying. They were quiet for the show- it's really totally pretty- then it would be over and they'd start talking again.
They left because they'd finished the drinks they'd brought with them, and they didn't want to go into Bellagio, because its snooty (I'm with them there), so they went over to Paris (across the street). We tried to follow them in, but got carded, so we decided to go back to their hotel, figuring they had to come back sometimes, and there's a 24 hour resturant there with a great view.
20 cups of coffee later… they come in through the front door, even drunker. They stood there for a few minutes talking about something, then Rachel and Nick started back towards the elevators for the rooms, and the others went to go play blackjack. Of course, at this point, we're like hanging over the edge of our booth watching Nick and Rachel. They pass by a bunch of slots, and she stops, and reaches into his pocket for some change.
It was sorta suggestive, and he kinda giggled, but she was in these skintight pants, and I didn't see her carrying a purse, so I think he was just carrying her stuff.
She pulled the slots like maybe four or five times and then she won, and did this totally adorable little dance, and he looked all proud of her and stuff. He took a handful of her change, but he didn't win anything, and she scooped all the coins into one of those little buckets and they went upstairs. The line to change in the change was totally long.
So we sat there and discussed every second of that, and were thinking about leaving when Stacy just screams and I look up and James, the cute gay one, is leaning over the booth behind us, watching me talk! "You don't like us at all, do you?" he said. "It's just NickNickNickNick."
But he was totally teasing, and he was so cute, that I screamed again when I realized that Darien was on my other side. "Why do the cute girls never talk about the drummer who can actually play?"
"Nick can play!" I just had to say. Did I mention the 20 cups of coffee?
So then Jeremy has to chime in, because he's now sitting next to Stacy on the other side of our booth and he says that Nick cannot play, and we get into this totally stupid argument about it, which wasn't even an argument, because we were all totally laughing, and Jeremy was sorta nice, but I could tell that he does not like Nick, and the boys were all complaining that Rachel gets all the attention, and James asked us if Backstreet has any cute boy fans that might like him, because he needs some gay groupies, and we talked to them for like 15 minutes until their food came. (they all had the secret surf and turf special that isn't on the menu, you have to ask for it, I know this because Darien was teasing their waitress about knowing the secret password)
We just sat there, and whispered about them, and tried to listen to their conversation, which was all guy stuff, about how much money they'd lost, and what they were doing the next day (a lot of press), and Darien's bizarre theory of when to bet at blackjack. They got up to leave, and Darien came over to us and asked my name, and said we'd be on the list for tonight's show, but we had to promise to listen to them and not just look for Nick, and we promised, and they left.
Then when we asked the waitress for our check, she said they'd paid it!
OK, it was literally 4 cups of coffee with free refills and a plate of french fries, but how adorable is that?
