And then I went into my whole story about how great they are and they're my new favorite band and I started playing the guitar because I want to grow up and be like Rachel and I might have bored him. Well, my friends said I bored him, but I swear he smiled at me and told me that was cool and he MEANT IT. He wasn't just being polite like they said he was!

Yes, SS recorded the last album in Rachel's living room. They were running out of money and decided to buy time by renting equipment rather than studio space. I could go into the long and drawn out and entirely circumstancial theory I have on that decision, which involves Rachel breaking up with Jeremy, moving to London to be with Damon Albarn (you know who Blur is, right?), and then Rachel's dad dying in a freak car accident. But I need to get to work, and everyone here will roll their eyes and cover their ears and start singing that 'la la la' song, because they're tired of my conspiracy theories.
And in the NINETIES, Duran could record an album in their guitarist's living room. 'Ordinary World' OK, you might have been a toddler, but that entire album was recorded in Warren's living room. Part of my theory is that SS wanted to be like Duran, too.
