I was at the hotel last night. Nick was there with his friends the night before last, but not last night. But we got there late after the show and other girls said he'd already come in. He was cute, apparently, talking to his girl on the phone and posing for pictures in the process. Frank was laughing at him trying to balance the phone on his nick and sign things at the same time. The buses weren't at the hotel this morning (hey! I have to go by to get to work!), but they don't have a space to park them here, so that doesn't mean anything.
I hope they left last night… I'd sure like to know. Just… know they are okay, I guess.

My friend Jane from Toronto just called. Apparently the hotel is crawling with BSB fans, along with all these people whose flights are grounded and can't get rooms. It's horrible. But she saw Kevin and Brian (who had Leighanne with him) come into the hotel. Kevin told someone that Kristin WAS in the air when all this happened, but is fine. Her flight was grounded in Ohio somewhere and she's waiting it out to see when she can get to LA. He thanked us for our concern.
Brian and Leighanne didn't stop and they looked really shaken up. I wonder if they knew someone?

We went out to a mall nearby because we couldn't stand being in the hotel for one more second. I've been obsessively checking email all day. ;-(
We saw their tour manager in the lobby. The boys just broke from their management meeting (it's like 11pm here) and they are doing the show tomorrow. They are also issuing a statement about Daniel and he thanked us for our concern. BSB is going to make a donation to a relief fund and donate a portion of the proceeds from the Toronto shows to the Red Cross. He said that if fans want to do something, they should contribute to the Red Cross or relief efforts and give blood.
Okay, I think I need to sleep now.

The girl behind the counter was freaking out because earlier that afternoon she'd met Howie and Nick. She's a Howie fan. She said she was just sitting their flipping through her new Rolling Stone magazine with Britney on the cover (that's important later) and this guy asks to see it.
That "guy" was NICK!!!!
Apparently Rachel's band is in the new Rolling Stone and he was all excited. Offered to buy it from her and everything. She was so cool, though, she talked to them for a few minutes and Nick ended up getting Frank to give her passes for tomorrow's show. How cool is that?
Thought that might brighten people's day a bit. I love our boys.

RE: Toronto ReviewWell, the show must go on… and on it did!!!! They said it was sold out, but there were quite a few empty seats. I think people stayed home. I know we've been debating this and all, but I am really glad that they went ahead with the show. I felt like for a couple hours I could STOP thinking about everything, you know?
Thank god we didn't get there too late because after Sisqo performed, all these people came out onto the stage. We thought they were just crew at first but then my friend Tanya grabbed my arm and shrieked, "That's BRIAN!!!" And I about died. Yes, he's my favorite (duh!) and we kept missing him at the hotel. He and Leighanne didn't come through the front to get to the show. I overheard someone saying that she was supposed to be on Daniel's flight. Dunno if that's true or not.
Anyway, we look up and yes, not only is Brian there… but EVERYONE. Nick, Howie, AJ, Kevin, Krystal, their managers, bodyguards. Obviously there was no one to work the lights because the house lights were still up and there wasn't a spot on them or anything. Just normal house lights. Brian take the microphone, thanks everyone for coming and then said that they wanted to take a second and remember someone who was very close to them. Daniel, of course.
Well, believe it or not, the place was DEAD SILENT for like a full 10-15 seconds. It was amazing. I actually started to cry. I could feel my heart beating so much… it was… it was just weird. Like we were all sharing this moment.
Anyway, the show completely completely completely rocked! The boys were good and at points you couldn't even tell that there was anything wrong. AJ announced he was 70 days sober - you go, dude! And Howie dedicated the show to his sister… awww… Sweet D!
I took pictures, so if I ever get home I will post.
Actually, since my room is up tomorrow, I think I'll be renting a car and going to visit friends or something. Rooms here are way too expensive. So I'll talk to you all later… off to see if I might "get lucky" and get to see someone at the bar. You never know. *wink wink*

A lot of them are from NYC and have been fans for a long time. They are talking about how James' ex-boyfriend might have worked there - someone remembered James telling him once that they hung out at the bar in one of the towers.
Anyway, I don't know what's right. But over there they were just astounded that Nick would be able to perform tonight.
Sudden Silence made a statement, they put it on their website earlier tonight, I think. If anyone's interested, here it is:
"Greetings from Chicago… thank you all for your emails over the last 24 hours, it's really touching that you took time out to write and ask us how we're doing. Your words are very comforting. We love you all so much and really appreciate your support. It is hard for us to be so far away from our adopted home of NYC right now.
As you might expect, we need to take the tour down for a few days. We think the nation needs to heal a bit and it just doesn't seem right to be taking the stage tonight and sing pop songs. He was with Howie's guard, not Frank. And nothing much happened. She didn't notice if they left together, but said she was talking to some friends and they looked up and everyone with him was gone.

If I didn't know that he was one of the biggest pop stars in the world, I'd just assume that Carter was Connor's most devoted groupie. He carries the Magic 8-Balls for her as she distributes them, and fixes her coffee and dinner to help sober her up. They don't seem like the rivals to challenge Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears for title of 'Cutest Couple in Pop Music'. They just seem like an average couple, newly in love and rather fond of one another.
They were so cool, too. Hanging out by the pool and being all silly with one another. They looked like a really in love couple. Like the writer said, kinda normal and all.
I remember them all cheering when they announced Sudden Silence on TRL, though. That was really cute.

Once Sudden Silence takes the stage, I think I might get my opportunity to talk to Carter in the VIP area, maybe ask him about this summer's biggest headline, the fact that the halo has fallen of pop's squeaky clean image when his band mate and friend, AJ McLean, went into rehab. But Carter is surrounded by Tsar, Sudden Silence's opening act. Within moments, I forget about him. Romance or rehab is not the story. One of the best pop bands in years is the story.
