Was it just me or did she look different today? Her cheeks were rosy, red from the cold wind, and I leaned down, rubbing my freezing nose against her forehead and making her giggle as she pushed me into the spa. She wouldn’t let us take a cab, wanting to walk across the park to the spa since it was such a pretty day.

But looks were definitely deceiving because it was freezing once we were halfway across the park, but she didn’t seem to mind. It just gave me an excuse to snuggle up against her a little while longer. I know this whole re-entry theory had been mine, but it really sucked. Not one of my brightest ideas there. I didn’t want to leave the little cocoon she’d made for us back at the hotel. Yesterday was just… She really blew my mind. After my first wish, I didn’t imagine it could get better, but it did.

The second wish was amazing, but the third one was beautiful. She gave me a long, intense massage, and then we made love for hours. After the activity of the day, we weren't in any hurry, and we just moved together, touching each other everywhere, and I really felt like a part of her, and like she was a part of me. The best part.

That massage might have ruined me for all other massages forever. I'd have to be careful not to relax too much today.

I watched her as she smiled at the receptionist and gave her a name I’d never heard before. We were doing fake names? Cool. I liked pretending we were someone else for a day. It could be fun. Maybe I’d be a truck driver like Dad used to be, treating my girl to a glamorous day in the big city. But if I were a truck driver, could I afford this day? Maybe I wouldn’t be able to pay rent next month. That would suck. Leaning down, I kissed her cold earlobe, wanting to clue her into my new identity, but she swatted back at me half-heartedly.

"I see you’re booked for our couples package, Mrs. and Mr. Ronnoc," the nice attendant commented as she checked off our names. Mrs? I just looked at Rachel. This was her game, not mine.

"Just Katherine, please." Damn, we weren’t playing married people today? That would be sort of fun. I bet I could find a jewelry store around here. We were on the Upper East Side, after all. I laced my fingers in hers and she smiled up at me, "And this is Gene."

She had to use the middle name? I hated my middle name! But I filed it away. I’d get her back at some point today. Maybe I could call out someone else’s name during the massage and freak her out. I considered her for a moment. After what she’d given me yesterday, I probably shouldn’t piss her off, should I?

Before I knew it, we were escorted to two different dressing rooms and I pouted at her. "I thought we were doing couple things all day?"

"You can get undressed yourself, bunny." I just raised an eyebrow, smirking down at her and she blushed a little. "I know you don’t like to… but you can."

She left me, disappearing into her dressing room and the pretty attendant turned to me, motioning to my door. She so knew that Rachel and I were faking, didn’t she? She winked at me, telling me to enjoy my birthday and I smiled. Had Rachel told them it was my birthday?

James’ voice pulled me out of my thoughts and I looked up, catching him smirking over at me.

"Don’t even…" I started, pointing at him as I opened my locker. "Not a word."

"But Nicky… you have to dish!"

I pulled off my sweater and then glared at him. "I am not JC. No! If you want details you have to ask her. Wait, on second thought, forget that. You don’t get details!"

"Oh, I have details…" he threatened, leaning into his locker and handing me a small envelope. What the hell? I opened it and two batteries fell out into my hand. "She forgot them. The… thing… it takes these."

"But…" The bunny vibrator had batteries. Oh… did he mean the other thing? It took batteries? Then what happened? I wasn't sure I could take more.

James nodded his head at me seriously. "Believe me, Nicky. You only got half the experience."

I put my hands over my ears quickly, "NO! I am not having this conversation with you!"

He just laughed, pulling off his boxers, and I looked away. I didn’t want to be having this conversation with James, especially while he was naked. That was just too gay for me. Yesterday hadn’t been gay, had it? I mean, just because I liked it, it didn’t mean I was…?

James tied his robe and leaned toward me, a serious expression on his face as we heard someone coming in behind us. When did I get to go to my services? I wanted to get out of here and this conversation with James. "Don’t worry, Nicky, you get the toaster oven in a few weeks. Welcome to the club."

"It’s the birthday boy!" Darien’s voice behind me made me jump about a foot off the ground and they all laughed. Great, Jeremy was here, too. That’s all I needed. Did they all know? I stepped out of my pants. When they came to get me, I was going to be ready to leave.

"What’re those for?" Jeremy asked, looking at the batteries that were sitting on the shelf of my locker. "Bring your GameBoy so you counteract the girly-ness that Rachel is subjecting you to?" Hey, he was here, too. I wasn't the only one getting the girly treatment.

Then again, Rachel had said we were avoiding the guys and getting the couples treatment. Were the guys getting the manly spa services?

Was this Rachel’s twisted plot to make me gay, so that I wouldn't cheat on her while she was in Europe?

Before I could think about that anymore, a tall man with dark hair was calling my name, "Gene? Gene in here? Your first service is ready."

It took me a minute to realize he was talking to me. "Oh! Here. Sorry. I just need to put on my robe." Yeah. He could probably see that I was just standing here in my boxers, couldn't he?

"If you want, I can call you Nick," the man whispered and I smiled.

"That would be easier, wouldn’t it?"

"Up to you. Most of our clients like their privacy."

"Todd, I’m telling," James teased, his voice rising half an octave as he poured on the stereotypical gay attitude. "You are not supposed to fraternize with the guests. Unless it’s me!"

Todd just rolled his eyes. Obviously James came here a lot. He seemed to know the guy. But as Todd turned away, James caught my eye. "Ex," he mouthed to me.

Ex? Of who? Him? Rachel? No way in hell was I letting Rachel’s ex-boyfriend give me a massage, especially not if she was in the room. No way in hell. That was way too weird for me.

He led me into a darkened room and I breathed a sigh of relief to see Rachel already laying face down on her table and two pretty women moving towels and lotions around in the corner. Todd left me, smiling back at Rachel. He needed to stop flirting with my girlfriend!

Going over to Rachel, I showed her the batteries that were in the pocket of my robe.

"What are these, baby?"

"James said they go with your new… ummm… thing," I said softly, glancing over at the women in the corner.

"Thing?" she asked, lifting herself off the table so she could see me better and I caught a glimpse of her naked breasts. Leaning down, I kissed her forehead and she sighed. "Can I go back on my idea for re-entry time? We've got stuff to do back in the room."

I looked up at him as he knelt next to the table, and noticed him look over at our attendants before kissing me quickly. But I didn’t want to let him go. We were getting the couples treatment, so we could be a little touchy, right? Reaching up, I stroked his face and he moved back to my lips, letting me kiss him again. It was an awkward angle, though, and we both ended up laughing.

He hung his robe up on the hook on the door, and then he looked over at me, "What’s first?"

"Todd didn’t explain it?"

"No, Todd didn’t." There was a hint of something in his voice as he said Todd’s name. Jealousy? No way.

"What did James say?"

"What didn’t James say… he’s an ex… yours?"

I had to laugh at that. "Not so far off… but… no. He wishes!" The girls in the corner of the room giggled, too, and I looked back at them. Todd must have a reputation here. "They know what I mean. He’s just a… character. No, he dated James like years ago and let’s just say it didn’t work out."

"Because he has a crush on you?"

I shrugged. "He has a crush on everyone. But… what else did James have to say, baby?"

He narrowed his eyes at me and leaned forward so I could hear him whisper, "I can’t believe he knows everything. That’s so embarrassing, Rache."

I shook my head, "He doesn’t know as much as you think he does, bunny. He was just teasing you."

"He knew about the… the… battery-less toy! And something about getting a toaster? What was that about?"

I giggled. Toaster? Damn, I hadn’t heard that joke for a while. Did Nick say something to James about whether what we did made him gay? No. I searched Nick’s face, but he looked truly dumbfounded.

"What?" He whined at me, but our attendants were ready, and they asked us to lay down. "You’re going to tell me later, Rache."

Yeah, whatever. One of the women started massaging my head and I didn’t care what was happening anywhere else in this building. Once I could move again, I'd find James and tell him to stop torturing my boyfriend. But for now, I'd just enjoy this.
