A NOTE TO OUR READERS:

1.10.09: Sitting here coding the last chapter, we happened upon "Moulin Rouge" which is fitting really. One of the first scenes of Oreos we ever wrote was inspired by this movie, by a terribly beautiful Ewan stopping our collective hearts and singing out the words to "Your Song."

Now we've come full circle and appreciate you coming on this ride with us. We have been astounded to find that others can connect with Rachel and Nick we've created the way that we can. Thank you for sharing this story with us... unfortunately all things must end.

Speaking of endings, we lost the real Bates recently so forgive us our artistic (and cathartic) license in this chapter. We dedicate this chapter to his stubbourn, but lovable memory and to Carter, the cutest kitten that has since stolen our hearts!
