Absolute Beginners
Well, here we are again... And I'm still not 100% sure what all I should be saying about this story. I suppose I thought I was finished with Birds In Your Garden, but then my imagination just continued going and it all needed to be written down. All I can say is I hope I've done okay...
I do want to thank, profusely mind you, my beta readers and those of you that have contacted me personally with feedback! You have all been so incredibly supportive I can't even tell you how many times y'all have saved me from hitting the delete key.
So, thank you, thank you, thank you!
I understand that Pulp is a rather unknown band, and they were the inspiration that supplied the title in the last story. If you don't know, or have never listened to them -- GO DO IT! Perhaps, this time around, you might recognize the artist of the current title.
Don't you love it when you're in the middle of something, or somewhere totally unrelated, and get an epiphany? There I was, watching The Master of Every Trade Known to Man (that would be David Bowie, by the way) doing his thing live and WHAM! in the middle of performing this song, it dawned on me that I finally found a title for this bloomin' story! (Trust me, I went through more titles than the Boys did towns on their Black and Blue tour!)
For those of you that aren't familiar with David Bowie (...shame on you if you aren't!) the lyrics to the title are as follows:
|
Absolute
Beginners As
long as we're together |
Nothing
much could happen As
long as you're still smiling (By David Bowie) |
So, there's my little story. The disclaimer part, for those that truly need it:
NONE OF THIS IS TRUE, ACCURATE or probably even PROBABLE.
I wish the best of luck to Kevin and Kristin and after seeing them together in person, it's kind of sweet to see how goony they are with each other. (And trust me, the green eyed jealousy monster taking up residence under my couch is none too pleased with that statement...)
So, if you're
still interested...read on! Hope you like it!
Peace,
Cori
