They were sat in a far corner, the table lit by candlelight alone and the hostess seemed to be accustomed to having celebrities in her restaurant. They had in obtrusive, but excellent service through out the entire meal and for the most part, they were left alone to chat and have a quiet dinner. They had finished a bottle of wine already, and dessert had just been served when Kevin placed his elbow on the table and rested his chin in his palm, looking at her. His other hand was on her knee under the tablecloth and started sliding up her leg as he watched a slow smile spread across her face. "What are you doing?" she asked, cocking her head to the side.

"Nothing," he answered, barely shaking his head innocently.

"Then someone is under the table feeling me up," she said quietly.

"Oh, oh, that," he said with a knowing nod. "Nothing." His fingers spread over her thigh and moved up further as she bit her bottom lip, trying not to laugh, but she did manage to move her knee a bit further as he slipped his chair closer to hers with his hand sliding further. "Did you try the mousse?" he asked casually.

"Um," she started answering, feeling his fingertips brush against her panties.

"It's good," he said, scooping a bit of mousse on his finger with his other hand. She wrapped her lips around his finger, sucking the chocolate from it slowly, keeping her eyes on his all the while. "And?"

She licked her lips, biting her lower one again and nodded. "Quite good." She inhaled sharply as he slid a finger beneath the panties and smiled. "Even better," she said, coming a bit further to the edge of her chair as his finger started sliding along her clit. "You're evil," she snickered, trying to maintain an even breath.

"You're wet," he whispered, leaning over to whisper in her ear.

"Can't imagine why," she said, dropping her forehead onto his shoulder, biting her lips together.

"I can stop," he said, whispering in a giggle into her ear.

"I'd kill you," she said, reaching her hand under the table to place it over his groin, feeling his erection. "Is this a good idea?"

He tilted his head with a teasing grin. "It's all good," he said, leaning over to kiss her lightly. He pulled back and scooped up another blob of mousse to offer her and she again wrapped her mouth around his finger, curling her tongue around it and sucking the chocolate from it, slowly pulling her mouth off and kissed the tip of it. "Okay, maybe it's not the best idea to keep doing that," he said, swallowing heavily. He slipped his leg between hers under the table and parted hers a bit more, sticking another finger beneath her panties and she bugged her eyes slightly, looking down to the table with a quiet gasp. "But I kind of like this," he teased. He watched as she kept her head lowered, feeling her fingers dig into his thigh, trying not to moan as the rest of her body shuddered with her orgasm. "It's all good," he said in her ear, kissing her jaw to her mouth.

"I am so going to get even with you for that," she said, reaching out to swallow a gulp of wine.

He sat back, picking up his own glass and tilting it to her. "I couldn't help myself." He placed the glass back down and rested his elbow on the table again, looking at her. "I wanted to make you feel as good as you look."

"You can stop with the flattery," she chuckled, running her finger along the rim of her glass and shifting her eyes to him. "You're gonna get laid tonight."

"No," he said, shaking his head. "That's not even remotely close to why I said that." He leaned over to kiss her gently. "You're beautiful, Jana. Just take it as it is."

"Thank you," she whispered, turning her head to watch him. "This so isn't Lexington, is it?"

Putting a finger under her chin, he guided her closer for another kiss. "This time, if someone says 'get a room' we can tell them we already have one," he said proudly.

"A suite even," she laughed.

"Who would have thought?"

"I would have," she said seriously. She traced her finger along the edge of his beard with a gentle smile. "Knew it all along."

"I don't know how you did when I didn't," he said, sitting back in the chair more casually, taking her hand.

"I just watched you, Kevin," she said with a lift of her shoulder. "I just watched you. You were always good with people. You would just light up when you were in the spotlight - football or the theatre stuff. Whatever it was, you liked being in the middle of it and making things happen. I couldn't doubt you'd figure out a way to do whatever you wanted to do. Mind you, you took it a bit to the extreme…" she winked, "but I knew you'd figure out how to be successful."

He shook his head, watching her tenderly and placed his hand on the side of her face, leaning over to kiss her deeply. "I don't know how you do it," he said quietly.

"Do what?"

"Manage to be so…" he paused, "I don't know." He shrugged and just looked at her. "You make me feel like…"

"'S'all good," she finished for him with a smile, tapping his nose with her finger. "Now, take me home and ravish me."

She waited for him in the lobby, knowing for certain that the fans gathered outside had been eyeing her closely. There was no way they could have missed him practically lying on top of her in the cab as they made out like teenagers all over again. She didn't even want to think of what the cab driver thought…or saw. Her head was light from the wine and she had noticed Kevin's eyes were a bit red and watery. Between the wine and lack of sleep, she was certain he had to be feeling it.

He wasn't very long and came in, heading over to her and took her hand with a warm smile. "I have no idea why they behave like that," he said, his voice full of awe.

"The one that just screamed when she saw you?" Jana guessed.

"Totally lost it," he said with a shake of his head, getting into the elevator. "I couldn't make out a word she said outside of 'hug'."

Jana pouted and chuckled. "Poor thing," she said with sympathy. "You made her night, though."

He tilted his head with a shrug, turning towards her and blocking her in the corner. "Is it your turn to make mine?" He rested his hands on the elevator railing and lowered his face to kiss her. His legs straddled hers and he rocked his hips against her.

"Down boy," she gasped, pulling her head back and putting her hands on his chest. "You won't make it out of the elevator."

"Maybe that's not a bad idea," he said, keeping his eyes on her. "All I need to do is take the key out and they can't get in."

"No," she shook her head, "let's wait a little longer to create an embarrassing scandal, okay?" She ran her fingers down the front of his shirt. "Besides, I want to pull these clothes off of you and take my time and enjoy it while I'm doing it."

"Pull my clothes off?" he asked with a smile, stepping back slightly but still keeping her in the corner.

"Cotton can be such a tease," she sighed, letting her mouth linger on his neck for a moment in a kiss. She ran her hands down his forearms to his hands, and he turned his palms over to intertwine his fingers into hers. "And that little trick under the table has me aching to feel you inside of me now." She switched sides of his neck and he tilted his head, closing his eyes with a deep exhale.

"Why didn't you talk like that in high school?" he asked, dropping his head to kiss her ear.

"I didn't know what it felt like to have you inside of me," she answered with a teasing giggle, pulling away from him. She tapped his nose when he moved in for another kiss. "The doors are going to open any second."

"To a private floor," he answered, squeezing her hands.

"You don't know who's going to be standing in the hallway. Let's not have any surprises right now, okay?"

"No, let's not," he agreed, taking a deep breath and releasing one of her hands, turning to face the doors. Once they opened, he stuck his head out and looked down the hallways and then turned back to her. "No one," he said with a smile and bent over, lifted her over his shoulder and started down the hallway as she shrieked in laughter. "Shhh," he teased playfully, "you'll bring everyone out of their rooms."

"Put me down," she laughed, but he was already at their door and slid the keycard through. He turned the handle, kicked the door the rest of the way open and walked in, setting Jana back on her feet as he kicked the door closed behind him with his heel.

"You're a freak," she laughed. He stood in front of her and bent his knees slightly to be at her level, putting his hands on her waist, pulling her closer and kissed her until neither of them felt like they could breathe. "A fucking sexy freak," she clarified in a light voice, putting her hands on his waist and pulling at his shirt.

He stepped back and lifted his arms up as she pulled his shirt over his head. Her mouth pressed against his chest as she tossed the shirt aside and slid her hands up his spine. She could still smell the scent of his cologne and she made her way up to his neck with quick darts of her tongue. Her hands slid back down and she pulled her waist from his to get some room to unclasp his belt and undo his trousers. As she slid them over his hips, she let them drop the rest of the way and spread her hands over his buttock, pulling him against him.

She could feel him let out a heavy breath against her neck and moan deeply. His mouth was searching her skin, nipping and licking hungrily at her until he found her mouth again. His hands reached down and grabbed a fist of the material of her dress and he stepped back to slide it over her head. Just the warmth of her bare skin against his chest made him shudder in pleasure.

She was sliding her fingers along the rim of his boxers, teasing with her touch as she made her way around his belly. She just wanted to feel him shake beneath her touch again and giggled slightly when he released a gasping breath. "Tease," he whispered in her ear before sucking on the lobe.

Her thumbs hooked around the elastic and she pulled away, lowering the boxers to his feet. Her fingers slid up his thigh before cupping his balls in her palms and massaging them gently. This time, he moaned louder and dropped his head back slightly. She released him and ran her palms along the length of his erection, teasing the tip with her thumb. She was rewarded hearing him suck in his breath quickly as he dropped his head to her shoulder.

He didn't wait to tease her. He ran his hands down her torso and slid her panties down her thighs. She hopped slightly, pulling them the rest of the way off and he managed to guide her over towards the wall. She wrapped her arms around his shoulders as he guided himself into her wetness and thrust quickly, needing to be inside of her. He lowered his arm and lifted her leg up, trying to thrust in deeper, his mouth sealed to her between gasps. As his thrusts came quicker, they went down onto the floor. He rested his hands on either side of her head and drove deeper as she spread her fingers over his chest, muttering to him until his body was shocked with orgasm.

He lowered his head to kiss her chest, laying kisses along the seam of her bra before withdrawing and dropping to his back along side of her with a deep breath. He reached down to take her hand and wrapped his fingers between hers, squeezing tightly, trying to get his breath. He lifted her hand to his mouth, kissing each finger slowly before setting it on his stomach and turned his head to look at her with a very satisfied smile.

"We forgot something," she said, rolling onto her side.

He looked at her and sighed deeply. "I know," he said. "You said you were on the pill though."

"So?" she asked.

"I can tell you honestly that I've not been with anyone other than…" She put her finger over his lips before he could say her name. "… for two years."

"And what about me?" she asked.

"Should I be concerned?" he asked.

"Well no," she said. "But it's stupid. We don't let that happen again." He shook his head in agreement. "There's been no one for about two years."

"No one?" he asked, his eyes widening in shock.

"Yes, Kevin, it's possible," she laughed at his expression. "I enjoy sex as much as you, but we can't be stupid about it."

"Okay," he nodded, "it won't happen again."

"Promise."

"Promise."

"Because if I get lazy, you have to take on the responsibility."

"I promise," he said, reaching up to put a finger over her lips. "I do. I just wasn't thinking about it just then… figured it was okay considering…"

"We won't have to worry about a baby, no," she sighed, dropping her head to his shoulder. "But I don't like being stupid, that's all."

"Hey," he put his fingers under her chin and she lifted her head, "won't happen again," he said seriously. "Come here." He pulled her in for a kiss and smoothed his hands over her hair. "I think we can get up off the floor now?"

"Probably," she agreed with a smile and sat up. She felt his hands slide up her back and a tug momentarily on her bra strap as he unhooked it. "Bit late with that, aren't you, Kevy?"

He sat up behind her, placing a leg on either side of her and wrapped his arms around her, putting his hands over each breast. "Better late than never," he chuckled, kissing her shoulder. "Besides, who says we're done?"

Kevin squinted into the light as he stood just inside the bedroom looking at Jana wearing the boxers that had been tossed aside earlier that evening. His hair was tousled and she could tell just by looking at him that he was still half asleep and not all together sure why he was standing. "What're you doing?" he asked, his voice raspy with sleep. "It's five in the morning."

"I was thirsty," she said, holding up a bottle of water. "Go back to bed." He stretched his hand out to her, his shoulders drooping, still squinting. "I'll be in in just a minute," she said with a tender smile. "Go back to bed."

He shuffled his feet along the carpet and walked over to her, taking her hand and began walking back towards the bed. She let herself be dragged and he pulled the blankets down, stepping aside to let her lie down. He then shuffled to the opposite side of the bed and climbed in beside her, his eyes already closed. As soon as his head was on the pillow, he reached out, draping his arm around her before his body seemed to gravitate closer until he enveloped her. His head nuzzled into her neck and his legs intertwined with her. Moments later, he sighed a sleepy, relaxed sigh and seemed to be asleep seconds after.

She always had a problem sleeping with someone so close, but she didn't have the heart or the desire to pull away from him. Just the feeling of his breath on her shoulder and the warmth of his skin against her seemed perfect and she found it amusing that even in such a deep, dead sleep, he had woken up to come find her. Her brain continued to try and tell her what they were doing was wrong, but moments like this, she had a hard time believing it.

She had been in love before with a few boyfriends. This feeling was somewhat familiar, but she had never felt this intense before. She could feel her stomach flip when she watched him across the room doing something as mundane as watching television. She didn't worry about saying the right thing, or feel like she needed to change anything. She didn't feel like she even had to try with him. It all just seemed to fall into place naturally; their conversations, their movements; their bodies. It all just seemed to fit, and part of that petrified her. She kept finding hints of that guy she'd known so long ago, but there were so many changes, she still felt like she had to learn who he was all over again.

When she was younger, she had imagined what it would be like to be able to lie in a bed together with him. Not only imagining the sexual aspect, but just what it would be like to lie in the darkness and feel him beside her. Even then, with her romantic, teenage notions, she couldn't have envisioned this level of comfort and desire. It had to be love. She didn't have any doubts about that, but the fear came from wondering how long it would be before this comfort changed into carelessness, or if it would ever become something taken for granted.

He wasn't really a big talker, although they did talk. But he didn't talk much about his emotions. She knew he was passionate about certain topics - the environment, politics - but he hid a lot of disappoints. He talked about his father often, but never really showed the sadness. He had plenty to say about Lou, but again, it was more anger than the disappointment he felt. And she knew he felt disappointed by Lou and sad about his father. He had always been calm and casual about everything, at least that much hadn't changed. She couldn't even remember hearing him raise his voice, but she hadn't really been around him when his temper flew. She'd heard the others talk about it, say how violent it could be, but when she saw him, she couldn't imagine him ever losing control.

She wanted to talk about Kristin, but dreaded bringing her up. Partly because she didn't want to know about her. She liked thinking of her as two dimensional instead of being a real person because she didn't have to consider Kristin's feelings that way. Kristin had tricked him into marriage, but she had to have had her reasons for it - right or wrong. If Kristin wanted Kevin badly enough to do something like this to someone she loved...Jana wondered what she might have done back then. She wanted to know how he felt about Kristin, really felt about her. Did he question her motives? Understand her motives? He had to have seen something in her to love if he kept going back to her and married her in spite of such a huge deception. Where did those emotions go?

She curled her arms up over his, feeling the strength in his arms, even as he slept. She traced the shape of his muscles with her fingers, letting them slide up his forearm until she let her fingers spread over his as his hand cupped her shoulder. So much beauty and power… She wasn't sure how she was going to handle him, or if she'd get the chance to learn how. She didn't doubt him when he looked at her. She wanted to believe in that desire she saw in his eyes when he watched her silently with a hidden smile.

He moaned quietly, his leg twitching slightly beneath hers, and she wondered what he could be dreaming about. She knew he was a regular person. She knew he didn't pretend to be anything other than Kevin Richardson from Kentucky, but how did he manage to handle what his life had become around him? How did Kevin Richardson handle coming off a stage after being screamed at by a throng of females as far as the eye could see? How did Kevin Richardson stand in front of a total and complete stranger as she cried in his arms just by his mere presence? What could he possibly think of the chaos that he ensued every time he went out in public? She had watched him several times now walk out into that mass and settle them just by remaining calm, but how did he do it? How did he walk into that hysteria and remain Kevin Richardson? How, in all of this going on around him, did she become the person he was currently clinging to? He said he had seen her and knew before he realized who she was…how was that possible when there were so many others out there vying for his attention. How had she even become a blip on his radar? And who did she thank, in spite of the mess it was creating? Because in spite of the pain that was going to be inflicted, right now, feeling him beside her so calm and relaxed, she couldn't think of a single regret.
