"Hi Kev, it's 10:15 and you're on stage and I was just thinking about how good you look in those leather pants and oh, baby you look so good and I can't help thinking about how good you look and I just had to I had to touch myself and I'm laying here, alone, touching myself, thinking about how fucking amazing you are and oh, God! I love you "
~
"Hey, Darlin' it's 2 a.m. and I just got your message just hearing your voice, darlin', hearing how excited you get makes me want you so bad All I can do is lay here and think of how you touch me how good it feels when you touch me and how much I want your hands on me touching me like this and oh, man how you oh, fuck you I love you."
~
He looked again at the clock on the TV and checked his watch before looking to the open
door again, wondering what could be keeping Carlos. The airport couldn't be that far. Did
they get hassled by paparazzi? Did she miss her flight? She would have called if she
missed her flight, right? He shook his head and cursed himself for acting like the stupid
punk-ass. Of course it was going to take longer. Airport security was a nightmare. It'd
take some time to get through everything, and she'd have to go through Customs. Maybe
she'd been delayed in Customs.
Every time he heard a door open, or voices in the hallway he'd stop and look at the door,
trying not to look too expectant. It had only been two weeks, he reminded himself. Two
weeks of hour-long phone calls, two-three times a day. Long phone messages when he came
off stage of Jana describing exactly what she was thinking. Longer phone conversations as
she went into further details when they were alone for the night. Just last night,
even
and the more he thought about that conversation, the more impatient he was for
her to arrive. What was keeping them?
He picked up his phone and dialed her cell, only getting her voicemail. He didn't leave a
message and hung up, dialing Carlos' number next. He didn't answer either. Was that a good
sign, or a bad sign? He heard another door open and close in the hallway and watched AJ
and Sarah make their way past his door. AJ stepped back and peered in curiously.
"Today, right?"
"Any time now," Kevin answered, looking back to his watch.
"Maybe she ran off with Carlos," AJ teased.
"Thanks, dawg," Kevin laughed.
"Ah, you've got a spare," AJ laughed and was out of sight.
"Asshole!" Kevin called after him, hearing their laughter disappear once the
elevator dinged. You're a calm, rational, almost thirty-year-old adult, Kev, he told
himself, looking back to his watch. Deal with this.
"Oh, not the cute one's room?" Jana said, standing in front of the door.
"Finally!" Kevin said, jumping up from the couch and collecting her in his arms.
"Where have you been?"
"Trying to get into this country and out of ours," she laughed.
"What did you mean by not the cute one's room?"
"You're the sexy, sultry one, remember? Where's the blond, flirty one? I hear he's
single now," she giggled.
"And here I've been waiting for you for hours," he acted indignant. "Some
girlfriend!"
She giggled and walked around him, draping her hand along his waist as she went, patting
his butt and coming around the other side, scrutinizing him slowly. "You'll do,"
she laughed, dodging as he reached for her and running towards the bedroom.
"Oh, no!" he called and ran after her. "I didn't wait around here all day
for you to pine after the
" He stopped and closed the door behind him when he
saw her already half undressed and kneeling on the bed.
"After the what?" she asked, coming over to him and untucking his shirt to pull
it over his head and kiss his bare chest as her fingers started unbuckling his belt.
"Oh, who the hell cares?" he chuckled, placing his hands on her breasts and
lowering his head to kiss them. She had undone his jeans and started tugging at them so
that he could step out of them as they fell over onto the mattress.
"Here," she said, shoving a condom in his hand. "I even come
prepared."
Seconds later, he was thrusting deep inside of her, breathing heavily with the pleasure.
He reached a hand down to stroke her clit, making her bite her lips and moan with her own
excitement. "Don't stop," she panted, feeling his thrusts come quicker.
"God, Kev, please, don't stop." Even after he came, he continued to keep up
their rhythm until she arched her back and clutched his hips with a satisfied grunt,
continuing to writhe beneath him with the sensation of her orgasm.
He rolled over onto the side with a deep, contented breath and brushed her new blonde
bangs to the side with a smile. "Welcome back."
"That's got to be a record, doesn't it?" she giggled, rolling over and kissing
him, reaching out to place her fingertips on his cheeks gently and stroke his face.
"God, how can I miss you this much?"
"I've been asking myself the same question," he said, placing kisses along her
forehead and eyelids quickly, as he pulled her against him.
"You're pretty limber for a guy who's turning ancient in a few days," she
teased, poking his belly playfully.
"Insult, after insult, after insult," he said with a shake of his head.
"Dang, Jana
you really take on that New York attitude, don't you? What happened
to that sweet little Kentucky girl?"
"She became the tainted, hedonistic mistress of some guy in a boy band," she
said, kissing him warmly. "Once you've had a Backstreet Boy, there's no going back,
right?" She pulled him against her for another drawn out kiss. "If I knew you
would be this good twelve years ago, I may not have resisted."
"Now, I was a good boy," he smiled, running his hand down her side, "I
wasn't going to add pressure."
"You were a good boy," she agreed. "Non threatening and everything. I think
I prefer the sexuality more though."
"I wasn't sexy back then?"
"You were good looking," she considered, looking at him and squinting her eyes.
"But it was more of a romantic thing than a sexual thing. Somehow, you blossomed into
this sexual thing, and I don't know if it's you or me. I just know I'm enjoying it."
"There's something to be said for maturing," he chuckled, pulling her closer.
~
"You're kidding me," Jana deadpanned, rolling over across the bed.
"No!" Kevin said excitedly, his eyes sparkling. "It'll be fun!"
"Fun?" she asked with a lift of her eyebrow.
"Yeah!" he said, bouncing up and down playfully on the corner of the bed.
"It'll be great!"
"You're such a boy," she grumbled, rolling over and burying her face in the
pillows.
"Come on," he poked at her, "how many chances do I get to run around the
woods, be outside and just
"
She lifted her head up and looked at him. "And just be a boy?"
"I have less than a week to be a boy before I turn ancient," he laughed.
"Humor me."
"Who's saying I already don't?" she said, curling up and kicking him in the
thigh playfully.
"Careful, don't be doin' any damage before I get to kick some butt," he said,
standing up. "Come on. Up!"
"I really have to go?" she asked.
"Yes! You'll have fun."
"Oh. Okay," she sighed doubtfully.
By the time she met him down in the lobby she knew it was too late. His competitive edge
was up and he was already hanging around the guys, pumping theirs up. Nick was already
bouncing around with a grin, jumping on Brian's back and playfully psyching him up. She
headed over towards Rachel standing near the seating area and exhaled heavily.
"Boys," she commented to her with a shake of her head.
"Wait till we get out there and kick their asses," Nikki said with a gleam in
her eye. "Nick's up there telling me how they're going to ambush and sneak up and pow
and all that crap and all I'm doing is sitting here going, I am so nailing him."
"Think they'd mind if I found a tree to sit under? Would you come find me when it's
over?" Jana asked.
"Oh, it'll be fun! Come on!"
'I had other ideas about how to spend my day today,' she thought to herself looking over
at Kevin as he, apparently, came up with another idea.
"It could be a lot of fun watching them make complete idiots out of themselves. It's
so rare they get to be macho, don't you think?"
"It's one of my main high school memories, Nikki. He was a football player when I
last knew him. I hated him game day. 'We're gonna kill 'em! Nail 'em!'" she sighed.
"I think he might have gotten worse since he's had to keep showing his sensitive side
so much." She turned and watched as he high fived Nick and Brian with a grunt.
"Such a tool."
"Aw, I think they're cute," Nikki said, "but I've got brothers. Maybe I'm
used to it."
"That must be it," Jana smiled, "I'm one of those girly girls, I guess.
Maybe they'll just let me be a cheerleader?"
"Doubt it," they said together and laughed.
"You just know they're thinking we're girls and can't do this," Nikki said with
a smug smile. "I'm taking it as my personal objective to prove them wrong."
"How many times have you shot any kind of gun?"
"Never. But I'll figure this game out. How hard can it be? Boys play it!"
~
After stopping off at a sporting goods store and stocking up with all the gear, they
headed to the field and were prepped on the rules and led to the field. Jana hung back a
bit, watching Kevin do his 'male bonding' as they discussed strategy and made gun and
explosion noises. Once the referee blew the whistle, she couldn't help but laugh, watching
the two sides charge, paint balls exploding all around. It wasn't long before she was
wiped out and showed to the side of the field, laughing and out of breath.
Kevin was led over awhile later and crouched down next to her, lifting his mask up and
taking a drink of water as his eyes studied the playing field ahead of him, grunting and
groaning when someone else was hit. Jana couldn't help but laugh at him, shaking her head
at him until he looked over. "What?"
She nudged him, making him lose his balance and fall over. "You're such a boy!"
"Oh, come on! Admit it, you're having fun!" he said, grabbing her waist and
pulling her down next to him, kissing her quickly before turning his attention back to the
field.
"I'm having fun watching the wave of testosterone flood Canada," she laughed,
squirming away. "Behave! You're on my side, remember?"
"We're getting creamed," he said, surveying the sidelines.
"But you're having fun!" she teased, poking him as the ref came over to
lead her back into the game.
"Win one for Kentucky!" Kevin called after her, sitting up and wrapping his arms
around his knees.
"So much for Kentucky," Jana laughed, patting Kevin's shoulder as they walked
away listening to Howie and the crew chant the Queen song 'We Are the Champions'.
Kevin shook his head and smiled ruefully. "Man, I am so scared of the bar tab
tonight," he mumbled, looking over to Nick and Brian.
"You had to make a bet, didn't you?" Brian said, jumping on top of Nick and
pounding his head.
"Dawg, git off!" Nick cried, taking off, trying to get Brian off until they fell
over and wrestled on the ground.
"I thought the testosterone was supposed to be drained by now?" Jana called over
to Nikki behind Kevin's back.
Kevin tugged her hand and pulled her forward slightly with a Tarzan yodel, beating his
chest. "Wo-man! You wear shoe! Dinner! Where's my dinner, wo-man!"
"Oh, you are so cut off!" Jana laughed, trying to pull her hand away,
but Kevin pulled her against him and wrapped his arm around her shoulders easily, kissing
the top of her head.
~
They definitely didn't have any press scheduled for tomorrow or anything else until the
show because at the moment, Jana sat at a table watching Kevin do another tequila shot
with some of the crew. His eyes were red and it seemed he could barely keep them open. She
noticed that Kevin became very touchy-feely when he drank, and he seemed to pat everyone
on the back or shoulder, his smile never fading and he leaned close to everyone when he
spoke. Such a happy, friendly drunk, she chuckled to herself, realizing she was more than
tipsy herself.
She walked around the room, catching up with the rest of the dancers and some of the crew,
finding out the gossip and latest stories. She always seemed to have a drink in her hand
and didn't even know how they kept getting there, but she did keep drinking them. At some
point, she was talking to Shannon and Nikki and felt an arm slip around her shoulder and a
sloppy kiss placed on her cheek. "Hey, baby," Kevin mumbled in her ear.
"I'm goin' up. Comin'?"
"Yeah, just a second," she said, turning and finding Kevin directly in front of
her, kissing her quickly. "One second," she promised with a smile.
She slipped her hand into his, keeping him from wandering off as Shannon giggled at them.
"That's just too cute," she told Jana. "He's positively smitten."
"I know," Kevin interjected, kissing her cheek again. "Smitten and
sleepy."
"I think I have to pour him into bed," Jana said. "We'll catch up
tomorrow?"
"Definitely," they answered as Kevin started walking away, not releasing her
hand.
"Goodnight," she called over her shoulder with a laugh.
She could hear him calling her name from the bedroom. A long, whiny groan,
"Jaaaaanaaaaa!"
She finished rinsing her face and walked into the bedroom, finding him laying flat on his
back on the bed, still dressed with his arms flopped to the side. "What, dear?"
she asked.
"I'm drunk," he told her, attempting to lift his head but dropping it back down.
"I know, honey," she giggled, coming to the side of the bed and sitting next to
him. She ran her fingers through his hair gently with a giggle and kissed his forehead.
Instead of letting her back up, he reached behind her neck and pulled her in for a long
kiss. "You are so drunk," she laughed.
"You too," he said, reaching up to run his fingers through her hair with a silly
grin.
"Not even half as drunk as you," she said, rubbing her nose with his.
"I've never seen you as drunk as me," he pointed out. "Like,
ever."
"And you won't, either," she answered with a nod. "Know your limits,
dear."
"I forget my limits sometimes," he said nodding. "I forgot them
tonight."
"You were having fun tonight," she said. "Remember that tomorrow."
"You remind me," he said with a deep breath, blowing the air out with puffed out
cheeks, closing his eyes. "Cause I'm too drunk to remember that now."
"You should get undressed, baby," she said, caressing his cheek. "Try to
drink some water maybe?"
He didn't move or open his eyes. "Sleep."
"Change first," she prompted. "You'll regret sleeping in jeans if you ever
want children later on in life."
"Help," he mumbled, holding his hands up for her to pull.
"Pathetic," she giggled, but stood up and pulled.
He got up and stepped forward, wrapping his arms around her shoulders and lowered his head
for a kiss. "Ha!" he stepped back uneasily and waved a finger at her with a loud
laugh. "Fooled ya!"
"Drunk," she laughed, pushing his shoulder so he fell back onto the bed.
"Go drink some water." She turned and headed back towards the bathroom to finish
getting ready for bed. When she came back out, he was sitting on the couch with a bottle
of water from the mini-fridge, barely able to keep his eyes open. "Come on,
Kevy." She went over to him and took his hand, leading him back to the bedroom. He
managed to kick his jeans off, and she pulled his shirt off before he dropped over to the
mattress on his side. "Sleep, baby," she said gently, kissing his cheek and he
only grunted in reply.
~
Jana sat on the edge of the mattress and ran her fingers through Kevin's hair, pulling
the strands out of his eyes as he sprawled across the mattress on his stomach. He turned
his head away and groaned, exhaling deeply as she continued to caress his hair.
"Baby
Kev
" she said gently. He grumbled something unintelligible and
buried his head into his arm. "Baby
you should get moving." He barely shook
his head and grumbled again. "Kevy," she leaned over and kissed his head
tenderly, "really. I have water right here. And aspirin."
"I love you," he muttered appreciatively, his voice scratchy with sleep.
"I'm supposed to remind you that you had a good time last night," she said as he
rolled over with a groan and pulled himself up to sit against the headboard, squinting in
pain from his headache. She handed him a bottled water and dropped some aspirin in his
hand. "And I'm adding something to that, okay?"
"What?" he asked with aspirin on his tongue.
"Moderation," she teased, kissing his forehead.
