Birds In Your Garden

A Kevin story by Coriander

A companion piece to Oreos for Breakfast

Going on the notion that y'all realize this is pure fiction (see the definition of fiction if you're confused)…

I still clarify that none of this is true.

Coming from a completely different fan base altogether, I didn't think I could ever get this obsessed with another group!  I saw the boys perform in Philly for the Black and Blue tour (July 2001) and although I so gratefully appreciated the beauty that is Kevin Richardson, I didn't quite get into the whole BSB scene until much later. (Must have been something in the wind, I don't know. I just know my butt is black and blue with the amount of times I've kicked myself for not stalking them around the East coast when I had the chance! Yes, PP and PC: I promise never to miss another bandwagon!)

But…

After reading Oreos for Breakfast (thinking 'I love the writers, at least I know it will be a great story…') I found myself totally sucked in.

Then, while obsessing…erm, I mean, WATCHING… Chapter One, I saw the name Jana in 'As Long As You Love Me'…and a character was born.  I had to tag it onto Oreos because at the time, I knew positively nothing about the boys in the least and had to steal information from the Paperbag Princess and the Pumpkin Coach…and have several phone calls of gooning, and giggling over dinner, and oh, the amounts of e-mails! They've been Goddesses…so a big Thank You goes out to them!

Also - large, huge, tremendous Thank You also goes out to my beta reader for her amazing talents in editing and listening to me attempt to find my way through the story.  It's because of her that this whole thing wasn't deleted completely several times.

I would like to clarify - please understand, this story has no resemblance to what Kristin Willets-Richardson is probably like in reality (see the definition of fiction again, if you're confused).   It's just my inner seventeen year old lamenting the fact that, yet again, another perfect male has gone off and found happiness with yet another blonde haired, blue eyed female. (I ask you…what the heck is wrong with red heads and brunettes?!)

I wish them both the greatest success and much happiness ~

So, with that out of the way…

I hope you enjoy the story and thanks for reading!  Drop me a line to let me know what you think. ;)

Peace ~

Cori

Perfection...::sigh::
